PFM Blog - Annual Top 10 Awards for 2025

2025 marked yet another strong year for the PFM Blog! It continued to attract a growing global audience, with engagement levels reaching new heights. There was a wide range of contributors including international organizations, finance ministries, research institutes, academia, and independent experts as well as IMF staff.

As in previous years, the 2025 Blog publications covered a broad spectrum of public financial management topics. Alongside core themes, such as fiscal frameworks, tax administration, and budgeting practices, articles exploring sustainability, climate policy integration, human‐centered institutional reform, debt vulnerabilities, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation and other novel approaches in PFM modernization featured prominently.
