We would like to remind you that the first PEFA Open Forum will be held on Thursday 3rd May 2012 within the Spring Conference of the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management (ICGFM) to be held in Miami, USA from 30th April to 4th May, 2012.

Our goal is to reach out to all our stakeholders, particularly country government officials involved in PFM reforms, representatives from other international development agencies and PFM experts applying the PEFA framework and are open to engage in fruitful discussions about the future orientations of the PEFA Program on “How to meet the Needs of All PEFA Stakeholders”.

We send you attached the final program of the conference and the PEFA Open Forum and would like to invite all parties with an interest in PEFA - organizations as well as individuals - for their active contribution and participation during this event, where we will celebrate the 10 years of PEFA’s existence and officially launch the Phase 4 of the Program (2012-2017).

The PEFA presentations and panel sessions proposed will gather representatives from the PEFA Steering Committee and partner organizations together with aid agencies and country partners familiar with PEFA experience.  The different sessions have been designed to cover a wide range of issues around the PEFA Framework: from the latest trends in assessment of PFM system performance and the future revision of the PEFA Framework to the update on guidance for sub national entities and the introduction – from 1st May 2012 -of a new endorsement mechanism for quality assurance processes of PEFA assessments (PEFA CHECK).

A hands-on training session will be offered for all participants on Friday morning 4th of May focusing on PEFA scoring methodology in connection with repeat assessments (including the 2011 revised indicators).

Registration at www.icgfm.org (be aware that the conference fee increases on 14th April).

Once again, we look forward to seeing you there and invite you to send us your comments and suggestions at www.services.org.
